Our Aftercare

We know that the days and weeks following the loss of a loved one can be challenging, but you do not have to face the journey through grief alone. Erin Riebe is our compassionate, dedicated Aftercare Coordinator. We encourage you to seek out her valuable guidance along the way. Erin listens, suggests methods for coping, and provides helpful resources. In addition, she hosts several grief care gatherings and events throughout the year to offer those who are grieving a chance to talk about their journey, receive support, and feel less alone.

Aftercare Resource Packet

This packet is available at our funeral homes and includes a checklist that will help you manage personal affairs, get organized, claim benefits, and prepare for the future. It also includes brochures of events, CareNotes, and keepsakes.

Circle of Friends Newsletter

Our newsletter is sent monthly as a complimentary support for the first year following the loss of your loved one. In it, you will find pertinent articles, helpful advice from bereavement professionals and topics related to season.

Holiday Service of Remembrance

The holiday season can add to an already difficult time while grieving. For this reason, we host a special holiday service every year.  We invite a local Pastor to lead the service. Beautiful music, and words of healing are shared during this time. Each person who attends gets a personalized ornament with their loved one’s name. As the program comes to an end, family members are invited to light a candle in memory of their loved one as we sing Silent Night. Following the service families are welcome to visit while refreshments are served.

Remembrance Picnic with a Balloon release

Each year in June, we host a remembrance picnic at Lake Ripley Park. During this community event, we enjoy a delicious meal prepared by one of our local caterers. A local pastor leads a brief service andafter the message, we gather alongside the lake for our (biodegradable) balloon release.
