William Resman

William ""Bill"" A. Resman, age 76, of Litchfield, MN, died on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the Birchwood House in Hutchinson, MN. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Johnson-Hagglund funeral Home, Litchfield, MN. William ""Bill"" Andrew Resman, the son of Egidy and Anna (Muhich) Resman was born on August 30, 1934 in Eveleth, MN. He graduated from the Eveleth High School in 1952. He continued his education at the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities, graduating in 1956. Bill was united in marriage to Ellen Giles in Minneapolis, MN on November 17, 1956. Together they lived in several upper midwest states before moving to Litchfield in the fall of 1978. Bill was an appraiser for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and an outdoor columnist for the Litchfield Independent Review and the Hutchinson Leader. He was also a freelance writer for many magazines such as In Fisherman. He enjoyed fishing, writing and was active in many wildlife conservation issues. Bill is survived by his daughter; Ellen Marie Resman of St. Paul, MN; son Ben Resman (and fiancee Katrina Nesse) of Roseville, MN; and sister and brother in law Kathy (and Al) Samuelson of Munice, IN. He was preceded in death by his wife; Ellen G. Resman, parents Egidy and Anna; siblings Henry Resman and Betty Resman; and an infant daughter Ellen Ann Resman.
