Willadine Leta Johnson

Willadine 'Deanie' L. Johnson, age 80, of Litchfield died on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at the Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 5, 2013 at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Lake Ripley Cemetery. Willadine Leta Johnson, daughter of Willis and Josephine McDaniel, was born on September 7, 1932, in Melrose, Iowa. She graduated from Centerville High School in Iowa in 1951. She continued her education at Northwestern Bible College in St. Paul. On February 10, 1961, she was united in marriage to Glenn Johnson in Minneapolis. They worked various farms in rural Minnesota before settling south of Litchfield in the early 1990's. Deanie continually shared her faith and worshiped with the Plymouth Brethren. Antiquing was a never ending source of enjoyment for Deanie, but the people and conversations that came out of it, were the real treasures. Deanie loved meeting new people and keeping up with the news and current events. In her early years she was athletic and enjoyed many different sports. She liked to travel and would always volunteer to drive. She is survived by her husband Glenn Johnson of Litchfield, children Mark Johnson of Litchfield, Robin (and Tim) Altmann of Sleepy Eye, Rebecca (and Jeff) Nelson of Hutchinson, grandchildren, Josh and Ben Altmann and step-grandchildren, Michael and Stephanie Nelson.
