Walter Mausehund

Walter F. Mausehund was born on May 6, 1916 in Manannah Township, Meeker County, Minnesota to John and Gertrude Mausehund. He was baptized on June 11, 1916 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Eden Valley and confirmed on August 11, 1929. As a youth he was a member of the Walther League and as an adult he was a member of the Men's Club at church. Walter attended school through the 8th grade at District 90. He spent most of his life on the farm where he was born, farming the land until he retired in the 1980's. He enjoyed reading farm magazines, woodworking and old time music. He would go to Litchfield and read old newspapers at the GAR Hall. Visiting with neighbors and friends was his favorite thing to do. In 2008 at the age of 92 Walter became a resident at Koronis Manor in Paynesville. He was known as the man who loved to visit with everyone. He is survived by his sister-in-law Angeline; nephews Ralph and Dale; niece Joann Michke and other nieces and nephews.
