Waldemar ""Wally"" Gauger

Waldemar “Wally” H. Gauger, age 82, of Hutchinson, MN, died on Sunday, December 6, 2009, at the Burns Manor Nursing Home in Hutchinson, MN. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 11, 2009 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Litchfield with Pastor Paul Lindhorst officiating. A private burial will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Waldemar Henry Gauger was born on May 24, 1927 in Boon Lake Township, Renville County, Minnesota to Henry and Martha Gauger. Wally served in the Army. On May 19, 1951 he married Mildred Olson at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cedar Mills Township, Meeker County, Minnesota. They lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Hutchinson, Howard Lake and Litchfield, Minnesota. Wally was employed at 3M in Hutchinson and was a farmer. He enjoyed woodworking and was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He is survived by his sister, Norma Lueck and sister-in-law Lorraine Gauger, as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
