Virginia Louise Sorenson

Virginia L. Sorenson, age 85, of Litchfield died on Saturday, September 29, 2012, at the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home with Roger Klinghagen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Grove City. Virginia Louise Sorenson, the daughter of Luther and Estella (Yohn) Hench, was born on January 28, 1927, in Sharon Township, Ohio. She grew up and received her education in Shelby, Ohio. On May 17, 1963, she was united in marriage to Gordon M. Sorenson in Shelby. Moved to Minnesota in 1965. Virginia worked for Jenni-O Foods while she raised her family. Loved fishing, camping and collecting stuffed animals. Virginia competed for garden space with Gordon and enjoyed raising flowers. She is survived by her children, Rodney Sorenson of Grove City, Lee (and Julie) Sorenson of Willmar, and Paula Hjelle of Willmar, 2 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Gordon.
