Virginia M. Bohn

Virginia M. Bohn, age 90, of Litchfield, MN died on Friday, September 1, 2017 at Woodstone Senior Living in Hutchinson, MN. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday September 6, 2017 at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Cedar Mills, MN. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the church and will continue one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment will be held in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Virginia Mae Bohn, the daughter of Charlie and Molly (Jerabek) Gillman was born on August 20, 1927 in McLeod County, MN. She attended rural School District 78 and graduated from Litchfield High School in 1945. She was united in marriage to Louis Bohn on February 20, 1946 in Litchfield, MN. Together they lived on the Litchfield farm. After Louis’s passing in 2015, Virginia moved to Cedar Crest in Cosmos and recently to Hutchinson, MN. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cedar Mills and the Carousel Club. Virginia enjoyed decorating cakes, gardening, playing cards, fishing, and making spritz Christmas cookies. She also enjoyed entering the flowers that she grew in the Meeker and McLeod County Fairs and watching the wildlife in the country and her cats and dogs. She is survived by her daughter Sally (and Robert) Gilberts of Litchfield, MN, granddaughter Tanna (and Jason) Stucky of Litchfield, MN; great grandsons Terek and Javin; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Louis; parents Charlie and Molly Gillman; sister Adeline Putizer; brother-in-law Glen; and two grandchildren Patrick Gilberts and infant grandchild.
