Violet “Pat” W. Wilmot, age 97, of Litchfield died at her home on Friday, April 2, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the Augustana Chapel with Roger Klinghagen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Interment will be in the Lake Ripley Cemetery.
Violet Wanda Wilmot, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Ebel) Krieger, was born on December 15, 1912 in Sanger, California. She attended high school in Fresno, CA. On April 5, 1934, she married Harry Kaufman in Las Vegas. After Harry’s death, she was married to Dr. Harold Wilmot in Litchfield. Pat was a Life Member of the Historical Society and American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, baking and canning. She also enjoyed traveling, reading, crossword puzzles and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her step-children; Edwin ( and Patricia) Wilmot of Richfield, MN and Natalie Morgan of Yuma, AZ, besides other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands; Harry and Dr. Harold, a sister Rachel Oberg and brother William Krieger.
