Viola ""Girlie"" Ann Koglin

Viola ""Girlie"" Koglin, age 85, of Litchfield died on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday April 13, 2015, at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Sunday, April 12th at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Lake Ripley Cemetery. Viola Ann Koglin, the daughter of Joseph and Anne (Gominsky) Grossinger, was born on August 24, 1929, in Forest City. She grew up in the rural Forest City area and attended country school. On November 15, 1946, she was united in marriage to Marvin Koglin in Cosmos. They made their home in Litchfield. Viola worked at various places including First District and Emmanuel Home. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Viola enjoyed playing cards, trips to the casino, camping and fishing. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. She is survived by her children, JoAnn (and Lyle) Gimbert of Hutchinson, Sharon (and Luther) Tschudi, of Hutchinson and Debra (and James) Pollock of Coon Rapids; grandchildren, Michelle Tschudi, Brenda (and Donny) Will, Ryan (and Meg) Tschudi, Melanie Tschudi, Amy Pollock and Jimmy Pollock, III; great grandchildren, Christopher Tschudi, Riley Chaplin, Caiden Pfeiler, Ty Tschudi, Jayson Will, Peyten Tschudi. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Gladys Grossinger, Vi Munsinger, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin, son Ricky and 9 brothers and sisters.
