Victor A. Schultz

Victor A. Schultz, age 94, of Litchfield, died on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at the Ecumen Emmanuel Nursing Home in Litchfield, MN. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at the Zion Lutheran Church, Litchfield, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Military Honors will be provided by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard. Interment will be in the Ripley Cemetery. Victor 'Vic' Albert Schultz, was born on November 11, 1918, (Armistice Day) in Litchfield, Meeker County, MN. One of six children to Carl and Caroline (Koch) Schultz. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Litchfield. He went to school in Litchfield and graduated from Litchfield High School in 1937. He served in the military in World War II, Feb. 2, 1942 - Oct. 23, 1945 on the European Front. On April 17, 1946, he married Jean C. Nelson. They both worked for McKesson Drug in Minneapolis. He retired in 1981. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and OWLS. Victor's hobbies were photography, especially flowers, travel by car, bus and plane and music. Victor is survived by his wife Jean; a niece; 2 nephews; and relatives and friends.
