Victor LeRoy Olson

Victor L. Olson, age 87, of Litchfield died on Friday, May 25, 2012 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 31, 2012, at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Ripley Cemetery. Victor LeRoy Olson, the son of Roy and Margaret (Grey) Olson, was born on August 7, 1924, in Litchfield. He grew up in rural Litchfield and attended country school. Victor worked at Holm Brothers as an implement mechanic for a few years, and then for Oster Pederson and Foley in road and bridge construction. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Joramo on April 25, 1953 at First Lutheran Church in Grove City. He began working for Empire Foam, which became Foam Enterprises, where he worked for twenty years hauling foam installation equipment. He retired in 2001 and then worked part time for Discount Grain in Grove City. He and Evelyn enjoyed wintering in the south. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting deer and fishing. He also enjoyed tinkering and making new creations. He is survived by his wife Evelyn of Litchfield, daughters, Debbie (and Leon) Huls of Tishomingo, OK, Donna (and Mark) Beckstrand of Litchfield, Diane (and Shane) Selders of San Antonio, TX and Denise (and Michael) Stewart of Golden, CO, grandchildren, Todd (and Missy) Olson, Tiffany (and Tad) Marschall, Lindsay (and Jason) Ruppert, Luke (and Jenna) Beckstrand, Samantha (and Nicholas) Lesuer, Cody Selders, Kylie Stewart, Corban Stewart, great grandchildren, Jack and Sam Olson, Millie and Max Ruppert, Taryn Marschall, Claire Beckstrand and Madison Lesuer. He is also survived by his brother Arnold (and Rose) Olson of Kimball, sister, Ruth Peterson of Darwin and sister-in-law Evangelyn of Decorah, Iowa, many nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Marian Joramo, Marjorie Olson and brother Robert Olson.
