Victor R. Garcia

Victor R Garcia, age 70, of Litchfield died peacefully at his home in Litchfield early Sunday morning, Jun 26, 2011. Mass of Christian Funeral will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, July 1, 2011at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield with Father Joseph Steinbeisser officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday at the Church of St. Philip. Victor Rentira Garcia, the son of Julian and LeeBie (Rentira) Garcia, was born on March 29, 1941, in Valentine, TX. He grew up and received his education in Valentine. On June 26, 1972, he was united in marriage to Magdalena Amaya in El Paso TX. They lived in El Paso until 1987, when they moved to Litchfield. Victor worked as a custodian at the Lake Ripley School in Litchfield for 9 years. He was a member of the Church of St. Philip. Victor enjoyed watching television, especially wrestling and other sports. He also enjoyed reading. He is survived by his wife, Magdalena Garcia of Litchfield, daughter Deborah Garcia of Litchfield, grandchildren; Dominique Finn Garcia, Victoria Analia Alonzo and Natalia Magdalena Alonzo, brothers; Eddy (and Gloria) Garcia, Albert Garcia and Leno (and Ruth) Garcia and sisters; Virginia (and Frank) Mendez and Margie (and Robert) Fryimeyere.
