Vernon L. Dorman

Vernon L. Dorman, the son of Elmer and Esther (Kline) Dorman, was born on April 9, 1915 in Kingston Township, MN. He attended the Dutch Lake School in Howard Lake, MN. He served in the US Army from 1942 to 1945, during WWII and was united in marriage to Betty McKinzie in Minneapolis, MN on February 17, 1951 at the Oliver Presbyterian Church. Together, they lived in Minneapolis, MN before moving to Kimball, MN and Litchfield, MN. He was a member of the Litchfield United Methodist Church, where is was a long time custodian from 1965 to 1983. Vernon enjoyed gardening and small engine repair. Vernon is survived by his children, Edward (and Maryellen) Dorman of Makinen, MN, Russell Dorman of Foley, MN, William Dorman of Hutchinson, MN, Larry Dorman of River Falls, WI, John Dorman Litchfield, MN and Lloyd Dorman of Meadville, PA; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother Kenneth (and Doris) Dorman of Kimball, MN; and sister Iona Funk of Centerville, MN.
