Verna Wagner

Verna Wagner, age 98 of Litchfield died on Saturday, March 20, 2021. Burial will be in Algona, Iowa on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Verna Wagner, the daughter of George and Elsie (Stanek) Rezabek, was born on February 19, 1923, near Britt, Iowa. Following high school she moved to California and worked as a hair dresser. She moved back to Iowa and married John Wagner. They farmed together until John died in an accident in the fall of 1972. Verna then moved to Litchfield to be near her sister Della Finch. She enjoyed go for drives, playing bingo and cooking. Verna was a member of St. Philip’s Church. She is survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Cecil and sister Della.
