Troy Gale Peterson

Troy G. Peterson, age 42, of Grove City, died on Monday, April 25, 2011 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City with Pastor Jean Smith officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00—8:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City. Interment will be held in Lake Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield. Troy Gale Peterson the son of Gale and Bev (Lorence) Peterson was born on August 20, 1968 in Litchfield, Minnesota. He grew up and received his education in Grove City, graduating from Atwater-Grove City High School in 1987. Troy moved to Mountain Lake and worked for the Windom Coop. He lived in Hutchinson and then moved back to Grove City and worked at HTI. Troy then did sewer and water contract work for a short period before he became self employed with Peterson Trucking. On April 22, 2011, he was united in marriage to Nanette Hanson at his home south of Grove City. Troy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Grove City Gun Club. Troy loved to hunt and fish and spent many hours in the woods. He will also be remembered as a wonderful cook who was good at fixing wild game. Troy especially enjoyed being a dad. He is survived by his wife Nanette Peterson of Grove City; children, April Peterson of Windom and Troy A. Peterson of Grove City; and parents, Gale and Bev Peterson of Grove City. He is also survived by his aunts, Jannan Dilley of Grove City and Kim Lorence of Willmar; cousins, Jody Rick and Joel Dilley and many more. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts and uncles.
