Todd William Smith, Sr

Todd W. Smith, Sr. age 56, of Grove City died on Sunday, march 6, 2016 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Grove City. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 9th at the First Baptist Church in Grove City and also one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Burr Oak Cemetery north of Grove City. Military Honors will be provided by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard. Todd William Smith, Sr., the son of Verrol and Joyce (Johnson) Smith, was born on October 4, 1959 in Litchfield, Minnesota. He grew up in and received his education in Grove City graduating from Grove City High School in 1978. HE moved to Grandview, MO in 1984. In 1995, he returned to Minnesota and lived in Atwater. He worked for Eids Refrigeration and 231/2 hour Refrigeration. In 2009 he moved to the home farm north of Grove City. Todd was a member of the First Baptist Church, the NRA, Wounded Warrior Project, DAV and Compassion International. Todd enjoyed watching and feeding birds, talking politics and faith. He loved spending time with family especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his children; Todd Smith, Jr. of Strout, Tinisha Smith of Grove City, Timothy Smith (and fiancée Tiffany Vickerman) of Litchfield; grandchildren, Farah Smith, Josiah Smith, Arielle Vickerman and Blake Thompson. He is also survived by his brothers Bruce (and Bev) Smith of Huston, TX, Wade Smith of Orlando, FL, Kent (and Diane) Smith of Atwater, Dean Smith of Grove City, and Scott Smith of Chaska; former wife Goldie Smith of Litchfield. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dale Smith.
