Suzanne R. Hedtke, age 45, of Litchfield died on Sunday, February 16, 2014, at the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, February 21st with a memory sharing time starting at 7:30 PM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in the Lake Ripley Cemetery. Suzanne Renae Hedtke, the daughter of Wilbur and Virginia (Pape) Latham, was born on August 26, 1968, in Tyler, Minnesota. She was baptized in Elkton, SD and confirmed at St.Paul's Lutheran Church in Litchfield. In 1979, she moved with her family to Litchfield. Suzanne attended school in Litchfield and graduated from Litchfield High School in 1987. Following graduation she continued her education at Moorhead State University. On April 6, 1991, she was united in marriage to Kelly Hedtke at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. This union was blessed with two children, Bailee and Zacharee. They made their home in Litchfield where she worked for about 7 years at Minnesota Rubber Company. She then worked for 15 years at Meeker County as the Director of Economic Development Authority; ten years of that as Executive Director. Suzanne was very active in the community, serving on several boards. She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Suzanne enjoyed camping, putting puzzles together, playing cards, cross stitching and spending time reading a good book. Her most enjoyable times were spent with her family, friends, and her dear co-workers. She had a special place in her heart for the staff at the Willmar Cancer Center. Memorials to the Cancer Center are preferred.
Suzanne is survived by her loving husband, Kelly Hedtke, children, Bailee Hedtke (Josh Shoutz) and Zacharee Hedtke (Shelby Anderson) all of Litchfield, parents, Wilbur and Virginia Latham of Litchfield, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arlyn and Bernie Hedtke of Grove City, brother, Bradley (Shelly) Latham of Litchfield, sisters, Lorelei Latham of St. Louis Park and Melissa (Troy) Granlund of Litchfield besides other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, sister-in-law, Tammy Latham, nephew, Bradley Latham, nieces, Theresa and AnnaBeth Latham.Previous Events
