Steven Howard Olson

Steven H. Olson, age 73, of Minneapolis, MN died on Monday, May 11, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Center in New Hope, MN. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Litchfield United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be held in Lake Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN. Military Honors will be provided by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard. Steven Howard Olson, the son of Howard and Thelma (Akeson) Olson was born on September 17, 1941 in Litchfield, MN. He was married to Dina Anne DiSanti on October 6, 1991 and share two children together. Steven was born and raised in the Methodist Church, and he felt very strongly about having his children baptized. Steven was an Airman 1st Class in the U.S. Airforce where he was trained as a medic. After being discharged from the Airforce Steven worked in construction. He is survived by his children Trina Olson Ness (Dan), Jeff Olson (Amy), Stephanie Olson Smith (DJ), Eric Olson (Rebecca), Alexander Olson, Angelique Olson (Christopher); grandchildren Josh Anders (Tricia), Brandon Anders (Hannah), Michael Ness and Mathew Ness, Cassandra Olson, Breanna Olson, Kiera Olson, Alexus Smith, Amelia Olson, Maddox Olson, Paxton Olson; sisters, Judy Hetland, Kay Johnson (Tom), Deb Walker (Walt); aunt & uncle Dale and Delores Akeson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Howard and Thelma; grandparents Victor and Ethel Akeson and Eugene and Emma Olson; and an uncle Clayton Akeson.
