Sharon Selma Oberg

Sharon Selma (Johnson) Oberg of Litchfield, age 81, passed away on February 3, 2025. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Sharon was born on April 17, 1943 to Roy K.W. and Gertrude Amanda Selma Johnson (Riebe). Sharon grew up in Litchfield, and graduated from Litchfield High School in 1961. She was united in marriage to James Magneson on Aug 11, 1962, and out of that marriage came a son, Tommy Magnuson. Sharon remarried Russell Oberg on Jan 16, 1970. She worked for Fingerhut and they had 2 children, Cheryl Ann and April Ann. They divorced in 1986. Sharon completed a medical records program at Hutchinson Vo-tech in 1985 and worked for Emmanuel nursing home. When she became a grandmother, she changed career directions and started work at MN Rubber. She remained with the company for about 30 years, made many friends, and retired in 2022. Sharon Enjoyed gardening, reading, baking, combing through recipes, canning, sewing, feeding the birds and attending family events. She had a quirky sense of humor, and was known for her witty come backs and her unfailing store of juicy fruit gum in her purse for the grandkids.

Sharon is survived by her children; Tom Magnuson (Angelque) of Alaska, Chery Ann Oberg, and April Ann Oberg both of Litchfield. Grandchildren; Draven Oberg, Enki Oberg, Zayne Oberg, Elizabeth (Philip) Puckett, Noah Dinius, Lydia Dinius, Peter Dinius, and Rayna Dinius. Siblings; Dorothy Euerle and Roy Johnson Jr, and many neices and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by her former husband Russell Oberg, sister Leona (Larry)Tews, and good friend Betty Holmes.
