Sharon Elizabeth Larson

Sharon E. Larson, age 76, of Grove City died on Thursday, June 12, 2014, at the Rice Care Therapy Suites in Willmar. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 17th at the Cornerstone Church in Litchfield. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, June 16th at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Lake Ripley Cemetery. Sharon Elizabeth Larson, the daughter of Kermit and Charlotte (Angier) Hanson, was born on September 24, 1937, in Litchfield. She grew up in Litchfield and graduated from Litchfield High School in 1955. Following high school she worked at the hospital in Litchfield. On April 24, 1958 she was united in marriage to James Larson. They moved to Minneapolis later that fall and lived there for nearly four years. They then moved to Albert Lea and lived there for two years before moving to Hayfield. After five years in Hayfield they lived for a short time in Grove City before moving to Hollandale. While living in Hollandale, she worked for about ten years in Admissions at the Albert Lea Naeve Hospital. In 1999, they moved to the Larson family farm near Grove City. Her family was very important to her and she was active with her children and grandchildren as they grew up. She enjoyed flower gardening and travelling. She is survived by her husband James Larson of Grove City; children, Scott (and Hanne) Larson of Northboro, MA, Susan Larson of San Diego, CA, and Sherri (and Chris) Burr of Independence, MN. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sarah Larson, David Larson, Ellie Burr, Christian Burr, and Lillie Burr. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Judy Lohse.
