Sharon Lee (Peterson) Holtz, age 75, died on Monday, August 4, 2008 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Litchfield with Pastor Paul Lindhorst officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Lake Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield. Sharon Lee Holtz was born on November 26, 1932 in Blackduck, Minnesota the daughter of Arnold and Dorothy (White) Peterson. She grew up and received her education in Annandale, Minnesota. Sharon was united in marriage to Norman Holtz on October 7, 1950 in Annandale. They made their home in Litchfield in 1951. She worked for Fingerhut and was a housekeeper at Meeker County Memorial Hospital. Sharon was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid. Sharon was a die hard Vikings fan and sports fanatic. Her family and friends enjoyed her wonderful cooking, especially her banana bread. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, play bridge and watch movies. Sharon belonged to Bridge Club, Birthday Club and Christian Womens Club. Sharon is survived by her loving children, Sharrolynne (Kerry) Crosbie of Coon Rapids, Corey (Kathy) Holtz of Minnetonka, Darcy (Mark) Lease of Litchfield and Allyson (John) Haring of Litchfield, 13 grandchildren, Chad (Christina) Holtz, Jason (Nicole) Crosbie, Jamie Crosbie, Kelly Holtz, Heidi (Adam) Waldack, Joshua (Amanda) Lease, Jennifer Crosbie, Christopher Lease, Katie Haring, Jodi Haring, Mathew Lease, Kevin Haring and Jarrett Haring, 12 great grandchildren, Madison, Caitlin, Kayla, Noah, Nicholas, Jack, Michael, Joshua, McKenzie, Ashlyn, Carter and Mason, brothers, Clarence Peterson of Worthington, Ohio and Ronnie (Donna) Peterson of Annandale, sisters, Marilyn Hayes of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, DeeDee Ferrell of San Diego, California, Barb Peterson of Annandale and Jody (Jim) Waddle of Portland, Oregon. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, husband Norman, son Todd Holtz and brother Stan Peterson.
