Rose M. Miller, age 67, of Litchfield, died on Thursday, October 1, 2009, at her home in Litchfield, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 5, 2009 at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield with Father Joseph Steinbeisser officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 1:00 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Litchfield, MN. Rose Mary Miller, daughter of Leonard and Veronica (Koltes) Schreifels, was born on March 12, 1942, in Eden Valley, MN. She grew up and received her formal education in Litchfield, MN. She was united in marriage to Gary Miller on June 18, 1960 in Dassel, MN. They lived in several other locations before returning to Litchfield. Rose was also a member of St. Philip’s Catholic Church. She most recently worked for Forest Time Products before her retirement in 2004. She most enjoyed visiting with family and friends, gardening and shopping. Rose especially cherished the times she spent with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed art, dancing and had a special talent for making her home and yard inviting to others. She will be remembered for her laughter, gentle spirit, generosity to others and love for her family. Rose is survived by her children John (and Donna) Miller of Litchfield and Sandy Kushman of Duluth, MN; grandchildren Matthew Miller, Gracie Miller, Kendalyn Miller, Tammy Moren, Amanda Moren and Jackie Moren; brothers Robert Schreifels of Litchfield, MN, Donald (and fiancée Sue) Schreifels of Brooklyn Park, MN, Joseph (and Kathy) Schreifels of Coon Rapids, MN, William (and fiancée Lori) Schreifels of St. Cloud, MN and James Schreifels of Litchfield, MN; sisters Jeanie Allen of Mead, Colorado, Mary Schreifels of Longmont, Colorado, Carolyn Knox of Hanford, California and Annie (and John) Mount of Longmont, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Veronica; and brothers Andrew and Michael.
