Rosanna Jean Reinke

The beloved wife and mother Rosanna Jean (Miller) Reinke, 86, of Litchfield, Minnesota passed away peacefully early Thursday, December 19, 2013, in the gentle hands of family and friends and her comforting companion KeKe. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the First Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at First Lutheran Church. Interment will be in the Lake Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield. Rosanna was born on February 1, 1927, in Cokato, MN. The family later moved to south of Litchfield. Rosanna graduated from Litchfield High School in 1944. She attended the Minnesota School of Business, studied bookkeeping and later worked for Northwestern National Bank in both Minneapolis and Litchfield. She married her courter Arvid Reinke on June 22, 1947, at Beckville Lutheran Church in rural Meeker County. Early in their married life, Arvid's career as a sheet metal tradesman took them to Grove City, MN, Williston, ND and back to Litchfield. Rosanna was involved in her church and the Litchfield Women's Study Club. Her favorite places usually involved the sun and water as she enjoyed waterskiing, gardening, rollerblading and times at lakes Ripley, Blackduck and Koronis and later, winters in sunny Florida. Rosanna is survived by her son Randy (Kevin Hanstad) of Minnetonka, MN, brothers Bud (Darlene) Miller of Litchfield, and John (Linda) Miller of Punta Gorda, FL, sister-in-law Mildred (Hilmer) Soder of Litchfield. Rosanna cherished the love of her eleven nieces and nephews and sixteen grand nieces and nephews as well as that of other family and friends. Following the loss of her husband, her zest for life was kept alive through the loving attention given her by caregivers Bambie, Bev and Kelle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Francis (Swanson) Miller of rural Litchfield, son Ricky, daughter Rhonda, and Arvid, her husband of 60 years.
