Ronald L. Lupfer, age 70, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Meeker Memorial in Litchfield.
Ronald LeRoy Lupfer, the son of LeRoy and Margaret (Stahman) Lupfer was born on June 30, 1951 in Litchfield, MN. Ron graduated from Litchfield High School in 1969. He continued his education at Alexandria Vo-Tech studying carpentry. On April 12, 1975, Ron was united in marriage to Bonnie Jean Ulrich at Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos, MN.
Ron was blessed with many talents having been a cabinetmaker, electrician, and a carpenter. He built the family home in 1980. Ron also became a computer programmer for the dairy industry where he was known as the IT guy. He retired from Tetra Pak in May 2019.
Ron loved watching movies, country music, gardening, and animals- especially his grandpups, Georgie, Juno, and Freya. He enjoyed traveling all over the country, but his favorite place to go was Sanibel Island every year for Bonnie’s birthday. He loved family times and was known as the fun uncle by his nieces and nephews. He had a fantastic sense of humor and loved life. He will be missed. Ron was especially close to his grandniece, Alexis and his grandnephew, Aiden (affectionately known as A & A).
Ron is survived by Bonnie, his loving wife of 46 years, daughter Melanie (Lisa) of Galloway, NJ and son Tim (Michelle) of Silver Bay, MN. Ron is also survived by his brother Greg (Signe) of Fernandina Beach, FL. Sisters-in-law Carol (Larry) Piepenburg of Litchfield, Karen (Scott) Peterson of Atwater, and Julie (John) Haugen of Clearwater. Brothers-in-law Steven (Deb) Ulrich of Hutchinson, Greg (Donna) Ulrich of Stewart, and Jeff (Bev) Ulrich of Cologne. Also many nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Margaret, brother Gordy, sister Ann, and sister-in-law Carol.
A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at a later date.
