Robert Schreifels

Robert 'Bob' L. Schreifels, age 70, of Litchfield, MN died on December 16, 2010 at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield, MN, with Father Joseph Steinbeisser officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Litchfield, MN. Robert Leonard Schreifels was born on September 4, 1940 in Eden Valley, MN to Leonard and Veronica (Koltes) Schreifels in Eden Valley, MN. He graduated from Litchfield High School and continued his education at a technical college and in the military when he served in the US Air Force. Bob enjoyed hobby farming, fishing, reading, metal detecting, going to auctions and having coffee. He was an avid reader and will be remembered as a master gardener and for his love of nature. Robert is survived by his brothers, Don (and Sue) of Brooklyn Park, MN, Joe (and Kathy) of Coon Rapids, MN, Will and fiance Lori of St. Cloud, MN and Jim of Shakopee, MN; sisters, Jeanie Allen of Longmont, CO, Mary Schreifels of Longmont, CO, Carolyn Knox of Coalinga, CA and Annie (and John) Mount of Longmont, CO. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Michael and Andy; and a sister Rosie.
