Robert Richardson

Robert G. Richardson, Sr. age 74, of Cosmos, MN, died on Thursday, September 25, 2008 in his home in Cosmos. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 29, 2008, at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield, MN with Pastor James Hall officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield and will continue one hour prior to the service. Robert Glenn Richardson, the son of Glenn and Gladys (Brekke) Richardson, was born on February 20, 1934, in Minneapolis, MN. He lived in Minneapolis, North Dakota and moved to Cosmos in 2004. Robert was united in marriage to Barbara Bies on October 8, 1954 in Crystal, MN. Robert enjoyed fishing, collecting model cars, snowmobiling, reading, building and carpentry work. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Robert was the eternal practical joker, right up to the end. Robert is survived by his wife Barbara; 4 children Robyn Marie Richardson of Litchfield, Terri Lynn (and Peter) Fischbach of Baudette, MN, Tim Russell (and April) Richardson of St. Cloud, MN and Michael Charles (and Wendy) Richardson of Litchfield; daughter-in-law Faye Richardson; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; half-brother John Warren Meyers of Robbinsdale, MN and a sister Gloria Lee Dooley of Maple Lake, MN, sister-in-law Pat Farrell of Savage. He was preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Gladys; a son Robert Glenn Jr.; a sister Delores (Bell) Johnson; and brother-in-law Edward Dooley.
