Robert C. Karg

Robert (Bob) Carl Karg of Litchfield, Minnesota, died peacefully in his home on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at the age of 82 years old. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 11, 2015, at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, with Pastor Christian Muellerleile officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00—7:00 PM on Thursday, December 10 at Zion Lutheran Church and will continue one hour prior to the service at church. Bob is survived by his wife, Diane Karg of Litchfield, MN; his children, Bruce (Natalie) Karg of Annandale, MN, Linda Boll of Litchfield, MN, Susan Karg-Ramirez of Huntsville, MO, Roger (Torii Miller) Karg of Plymouth, MN, Steve ""Beaver"" Karg of Litchfield, MN, Bob (Bridget) Karg of Willmar, MN, Kathy (Barrett) Eichler of Brandon, SD; his step-children, Tim Nelson of Champlin, MN, Tori (Joe) Rogers of Litchfield, MN, Terry Nelson of Litchfield, MN, and Trudy (Stacy) Heining of Atwater, MN; his siblings, Doris Gaffer of Rockford, MN, James Karg of Loudon, TN, and LeRoy (Darlene) Karg of Hutchinson, MN, mother-in-law Esther Hegg of Litchfield, MN and brother-in-law Doug Hegg of Grove City, MN. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Lara and Brian Karg, Lucas Dollerschell and Amy (Nate) Conlon, Bri Warren and Mason Karg, Bobbi Karg, and Maddie Eichler; 2 great grandtwins, Breckin and Hayden Conlon; 9 step-grandchildren, Graham, Aria and Lara Nelson, Emily and Nick Rogers, Kayla and Adam Johnson, Todd and Trever Heining; and many nieces and nephews. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Conrad and Laura Karg of Stewart, MN, brother, Donald Karg of Brownton, MN, and son-in-law Henry Ramirez of Huntsville, MO. Bob was born on April 14, 1933, in Stewart, MN, to Conrad and Laura Karg. He was raised on the family farm and graduated from Stewart High School in 1951. Bob attended the University of Minnesota and also served in the Army. He married Joyce Huebschen of North Minneapolis, MN in 1955. Together they raised a family of seven children in Litchfield, MN. During that time he worked for Moorman Feed and Manufacturing Company based out of Quincy, IL. Bob was an award-winning District Manager for 32 years with Moorman's and took great pride in his work. Bob and his wife, Diane, were married for 27 years. They enjoyed traveling to various destinations, including trips to Alaska and Denmark. Together they enjoyed the outdoors and spent much of their time at their lake property near New London, MN. Bob was an avid fisherman, hunter, and mushroom hunter. Bob shared his love of the outdoors with his children. He also enjoyed watching and playing sports, and was a running back on the Stewart High School football team.
