Richard C. Carbert, age 59, of Litchfield died on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral. Richard Charles Carbert, the son of Richard and Mardell (Moore) Carbert, was born on July 22, 1957, in Redwood Falls, MN. He moved to Litchfield and graduated from Litchfield High School in 1976. He attended Minnesota Beauty College and worked as a Cosmetologist. He lived in Minneapolis and other various towns before returning to Litchfield. He enjoyed lifting weights, heavy rock music and martial arts. He won several national championship in Karate and Tae Kwon Do. One of his most favorite things was meeting his son for coffee at Bob's Java Hut. He is survived by his children, Patrick (and Angie) Carbert of Willmar, Meghan (and Jose) Carbert of Tijuana Mexico, Catherine Landers of Skagway, Alaska and Germale Barnes of Minneapolis Jakeea Quirk of St. Paul, and Oscar Fragoso of Minneapolis; grandchildren Isabella, Willow, Yulianna, Airyana, Alan, Aaron and Adele; father Richard Carbert of Litchfield; sisters Marie Boehlke, Alice Tanguay, and Kelly Cartier. He was preceded in death by his mother and sons Timothy Carbert and Robby Carbert and brother-in-law Joel Boehlke.
