Raymond F. Quinn, age 86 of Litchfield, MN formerly of Arlington, VA died on Wednesday July 24, 2019 at the Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday August 7, 2019 at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard.
Raymond Francis Quinn the son of Donald and Irene (Lenz) Quinn was born in Litchfield, MN on April 13, 1933. He grew up on a farm northwest of Litchfield, MN in Harvey Township and graduated from Litchfield High School in the Class of 1951. He served in the Army in the Korean War, what is now the forgotten war. It started in June 1950 and ended with a truce in July 1953. He received a BA degree from the U of MN in 1957 and an MBA from George Washington University in Washington, DC in 1967. Ray had a career in Federal Civil Service for more than 30 years and retired as a GS-15 in 1989. He lived in Arlington, VA and worked in the Pentagon in Washington, DC. After retiring he moved to St. Louis Park, MN and then back to Litchfield, MN. He was a member of the Church of St. Philip and enjoyed hunting and gardening. He is survived by his sister Sheila Ham of Austin, TX; and his cherished nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Patricia; and his brothers Rev. Monsignor Jerome, Eugene, Kevin, Francis “Butch” and infant brother Joseph; and brother-in-law Doug.
