Randy A. Eastvold, age 69 of Litchfield, MN, died on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, MN. Services for the family will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
Randy Arnold Eastvold, the son of Arnold and Elaine (Haak) Eastvold was born on July 20, 1948 in Litchfield, MN. He grew up helping on the family farm, and graduated from the Grove City High School in 1966. He served in the United States Marines. He was united in marriage to Vicki Norby and together they had four children. He was an over the road truck driver and moved to Montana in September of 1977. In December of 1977 their family had a house fire that took the lives of two sons Shon and Steven. Randy retired from trucking and became a millwright at the Frenchtown Pulp Mill. He was a member of the Nelsan-Horton American Legion Post 104 and enjoyed anything that was military related. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, telling stories and jokes, and watching John Wayne movies.
He is survived by his children Stacie Eastvold and significant other Brian Oslund of Litchfield, MN and Scott Eastvold (Rick Balzum) of Buffalo, MN; grandchildren Steven Paulson, Shon Oslund and RaeLynn Oslund; great grandchildren Kialee and Adilee Paulson; and a sister Lorijean (Paul) Stone of Prescott Valley, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Elaine; and sons Shon and Steven Eastvold.
