Phyllis Swenson

Phyllis A. Swenson, age 91, of Atwater, MN, died on Sunday, September 30, 2012, at the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield. Family services will be held at Union Cemetery in Atwater, MN on Saturday, October 6, 2012. Phyllis Ann Swenson, the daughter of Charles and Esther (Hyde) Swenson, was born on June 17, 1921 in Atwater, MN. She graduated from the Atwater High School and continued her education at the University of Minnesota to become a legal secretary. She moved back to Atwater where she worked with her father, who was the Kandiyohi County Attorney. She helped care for her father, and because of her, he was able to work into his 90's. Phyllis enjoyed reading and working with her family. She is survived by her nieces, Jan (and Firoz) Boghani of Maple Plain, MN, Joan (and Norm) Purrington of Lake Elmo, MN, Jean (and Gary) Hanson of Austin, TX and Kris (and Winton) Nelson of Litchfield, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Maxine Price and Eleanor Kall and a nephew Bill Price and his wife Kathy.
