Phyllis M. Rosenau

Phyllis M. Rosenau, age 84, of Hutchinson, MN died on Saturday, December 26, 2015, at the Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson, MN. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in First Lutheran Cemetery, Grove City, MN. Phyllis M. Rosenau, the daughter of Leonard and Minnie (Flemming) Lundstrom, was born on December 8, 1931 in Brookfield Township, MN. She graduated from Grove City High School and was a waitress in Grove City. On September 2, 1950 she was united in marriage to Arnold Rosenau at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City. After raising her family, Phyllis worked at the Burns Manor in Hutchinson for over 13 years as a dietary aide. Phyllis was a member of Arndahl Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran Church and later Christ the King Lutheran Church when she moved to Hutchinson. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching and reading. She loved to bake bread and spend time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her 10 children; Don (Lynn) Rosenau of Hector, MN, Dianna Young of Hutchinson, MN, Linda (Niel) Duesterhoeft of Hutchinson, MN, Shirley Dummer of Hutchinson, MN, Ray Rosenau of Cosmos, MN, Paula Engebretson of Owatonna, MN, Bev (Mark) Gaspar of St. Louis Park, MN, Sandy (Robert) Voelkel of Stewart, MN, Janet (Herman) Buschel of Roosevelt, MN and Kathy Rosenau of Hutchinson; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers Emert (Ruth) Lundstrom of Salem, OR, Nyle (Helen) Lundstrom of Seattle, WA, Dalton (Jan) Lundstrom of Sleepy Eye, MN, Ivan (Judy) Lundstrom of Gwinn, MI and Mylan (Joann) Lundstrom of Fairmont, MN; sister Carol (Roger) Clark of Lakeville, MN; brother-in-law Art (Lavonne) Rosenau of Willmar, MN and sister-in-law Leona Kruger of Villard, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Minnie; husband Arnold; two sons in infancy, grandson Anthony Schmitz; great granddaughter Amelianna Rosenau; brothers Wyman Lundstrom and Elmer Lundstrom; brothers-in-law Elzo Woltjer and Harold Kruger; sisters-in-law Pat Lundstrom, Jeanne Lundstrom and Arline Woltjer; and son-in-law Kerry Schmitz.
