Paul R. Worden, age 74, of Litchfield, died on Thursday, July 15, 2010, at his home in Litchfield, MN. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 19, 2010 at the First Lutheran Church with Pastor Christa Forsythe officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 18, 2010 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Lake Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield, MN. Paul Roger Worden, the son of Joseph and Hannah (Nyman) Worden, was born on January 31, 1936 in Collinwood Township, Meeker County. He grew up in Meeker county and received his education from country school. Paul served in the U.S. Air Force before becoming a mason and working in the Twin Cities. In 1959, he married Colleen Sonsteby. After a few years in the Twin Cities he bought a farm north of Cokato by Mud Lake where he raised and milked cows. He then built a mink farm north east of Litchfield and raised mink for nearly twenty years. He retired in his early forties but his love of farming brought him back to farm with his son Randy. Paul enjoyed golfing, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his children; Randy Worden of Litchfield and Carla (and Mark) Way of Maple Grove, 5 grandchildren; Daryn, Connor, Kati, Brent, and Stephanie, 3 step-grandchildren; Nic, Nathan and Katie. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley (and Paul) Schmidt of Eden Valley, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Vern Leonard, Leslie, Delmer, Fred, Glen, Lee and Duane sisters; Lois and Betty and an infant granddaughter Allison.
