Paul J. Knisley

Paul J. Knisley, age 71, of Litchfield, MN, died on Monday November 7, 2016 at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 12 at the Church of Our Lady in Manannah. Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 PM on Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Church of Our Lady in Manannah and will continue one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will be in the Church of Our Lady Catholic Cemetery in Manannah. Military Honors will be provided by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard. Paul John Knisley, the son of William and Laura (Tersteeg) Knisley was born in Hector, MN on March 15, 1945. He was baptized on March 25, 1945 in Hector, MN at the church of St. John and received his education at Paynesville High School. During his time in the US Army he was stationed in Germany. Paul lived in Litchfield for many years before buying property and building his home in Manannah. He was united in marriage to Sandra Reuter in Las Vegas on March 1, 1986. He drove truck for First District and was a member of the Church of Our Lady in Manannah and the American Legion. Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors and loved his house and home. He was a hard worker and lead a simple life. He was honest, loyal, generous, humble and will be remembered for his great sense of humor. He is survived by his daughter Kari (Hahnemann) Ortiz of Savage, MN; stepchildren Ron (Leah) Bent of Illinois and Jeff (Sarah) Bent of Apple Valley, MN; grandchildren Maya, Mena, Maddie, Krister, Jesa and Harper; and brothers and sisters Bill Knisley, Florence (Jack) Binsfeld, Bob (Maxine) Knisley, Laura (Gary) Hawley, Mary (Jerry) Binsfeld, Jim (Shirley) Knisley, Jerry (Michelle) Knisley, Tom (Mary) Knisley, Richard (Roxann) Knisley and Jenny (Brian) Baroka.
