Patricia Ann Borchert

Patricia A. Borchert, age 77, of Sauk Rapids, formerly of Grove City, died on Saturday, July 7, 2012, at the Good Shepherd Memory Cottages in Sauk Rapids. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, July 13, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 12th at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield and will continue one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in the Lake Ripley Cemetery. A memorial service will also be held during regular church services on Sunday, July 15th at the Good Shepherd Chapel at the Good Shepherd Community in Sauk Rapids. Patricia Ann Borchert, the daughter of Floyd and Margaret (Sword) Lindberg, was born on August 30, 1934, in Litchfield. She grew up in Litchfield and received her education there. She graduated from Litchfield High School in 1952. Shortly after high school, Patricia worked as a Nurse's Aid at the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield. On October 12, 1957, she was married to Fred Borchert in Litchfield. They lived north of Grove City. She continued working at the hospital for several years but eventually stayed home to care for her family and help on the farm. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City and a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Aid. Patricia enjoyed crocheting, crafts, puzzles and baking. She will be remembered as a very kind woman with a pleasant smile. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed entertaining family. She is survived by her children, Kathy (and Kurt) Zdroik of St. Cloud, Mark (and Lissa) Borchert of Atwater, and Susan (and Steve) Schrader of St. Cloud, grandchildren, Miranda, Erica and Carson Borchert, 2 step grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Fred Borchert of Grove City and her sister Karen Roberts of Monticello. She was preceded in death by her parents.
