Orpha Gladys Felling, age 100, of Litchfield, MN, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Dassel Lakeside Care Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the St. Gertrude's Catholic Church in Forest City. Visitation will be held from 12:30 until the 2:00 PM service at the church on Thursday. Interment will be in Ripley Cemetery. Orpha Gladys Felling, one of nine daughters of Henry and Amanda Lee (Allee) Schenewerk, was born on September 28, 1915 in California, Missouri, and went to 12 years of school there. She was united in marriage to Albert Miller in 1934. Following Albert's death in 1959, she was united in marriage to Bernard Felling on January 8, 1964. Together they had 47 years of happy marriage together. They owned and operated Bernie's Fairway Store in Litchfield for many years. In 1967 they bought the Ed Mundt 200 acre farm north of Litchfield, where they spent 35 enjoyable years on the farm. They did many things together like gardening, tending to apple orchards, raising many fowl and some livestock. They enjoyed travelling to Europe, the Bahamas and throughout the U.S. from coast to coast. They also did some gold mining in Utah. Gladys enjoyed crocheting, quilting, wallpapering and even tried her luck at making maple syrup, but it turned to brown sugar. She is survived by her sons Gary Miller of Litchfield, MN and Keith (Nan) Miller of Moab, Utah; daughter-in-law Lylie Miller (fiancé Darwin Koll) of Litchfield, MN; grandchildren Jenny Miller of Shakopee, MN, Sandra Kushman of Duluth, MN, Marilyn Miller of Moab, Utah, Rick Miller of Darwin, MN, Beth Young of Las Vegas, NV, Al (Pam) Miller of Litchfield, MN, Katie (Daryl) Miller-Rowe of Moab, Utah, Brian (Melinda) Miller of Phoenix, AZ and John (Donna) Miller of Litchfield, MN; 22 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren; sister Helen Joyce (James) Burger of Wilber, NE, besides other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husbands Albert Miller and Bernard Felling; son Ronald Miller; grand-daughter Deissera Miller; great-grand-daughter Lisa Woolard; daughter-in-law Rose Miller; sisters, Grace Virginia (Jane) Imhoff, Hazel Mae Kay, Beula Maxine Siebert, Norma Lee Geier, Bonnie Louise Borghardt; Anita June Gerlach; and Dorothy Jean Foster.Previous Events
