Ordella ""Dulla"" Maxine Hoffman

Ordella ""Dulla"" Maxine Hoffman, age 95, died on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, in Mora, Minnesota. Funeral services will held on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church. A visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Lake Ripley Cemetery. Ordella Maxine (Warnke) Hoffman was born to Benjamin and Emma (Jeseritz) Warnke on June 10, 1918 in Posen Township, in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. After attending school, she married Allen Peterson on January 16, 1933. They made their first home on Allen's parent's farm before moving to the twin cities. They then moved to Litchfield in 1947. She worked as at the Super Value Grocery Store for many years. In 1976, they moved to Puyallup, Washington. When Allen died in 1981, Ordella moved back to Litchfield. She married Howard Hoffman on October 5, 1982. They lived in Eden Valley for a short time before again moving back to Litchfield. With their lives in Litchfield, Ordella and Howard enjoy spending their winters in Texas until Howard's death in October of 2011. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and enjoyed traveling and trips to the Casino. Ordella was grateful for the care she received at Ecumen when she lived in Litchfield and St Claires Living Community in Mora. Ordella is survived by her children Ronald (Elaine) Peterson of Pine City, MN and Shirley (Gary) Brossard of Mora, MN; four grandchildren, Michael Peterson, Sherri Brossard, Todd Brossard and Guy Brossard; her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters Evelyn (Loren) Wolf of Wood Lake, MN and Ion Braun of Casper Wyoming; brother-in-law William Graese of Olympia Field, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, 2 brothers Roland Warnke and Marvin Warnke, Sister Adeline Anderson, Orlet Graese and granddaughter Candis Gullekson.
