Nicholas ""Nick"" Samuel Toutges

Nicholas ""Nick"" Samuel Toutges, age 35, of Litchfield, MN went to be with Grandma Shipp and live in paradise on June 7, 2013 due to heart complications. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 Pm on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the First Lutheran Church in Litchfield and will continue one hour prior to the services. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the First Lutheran Church. Interment will be in the Lake Ripley Cemetery. Nick, the son of Donald Toutges, Jr. and Rev. Vicki (Shipp) Toutges was born on July 18, 1977 in Litchfield, MN. He was baptized on the day of his birth and was confirmed at First Lutheran Church. Nick attended the Litchfield High School, graduating in 1996. After high school Nick was employed at Spectrum Coating and Pamida. He especially loved his ""Pamida Family"" and was very sad to see the store close. He also worked at Pro Works in Litchfield. He was a hospice volunteer and Emmanuel Nursing Home Volunteer. He was a member of the All Saints Lutheran Church in Darwin. Nick was a unique individual; he always loved to make people laugh, he enjoyed getting a reaction out of people. Nick spent his time listening to music, playing video games, cleaning his house, drinking coffee in the morning, going on family vacations and spending time with family and friends. Nick enjoyed biking and watching wrestling on TV. He also enjoyed hunting with his brothers and shot his first buck last season. Nick had a happy life as he had a deep faith and love for God. Nick was proud to do the same work as his mother. He comforted and cared for all who were hurting. He believed he was called to do God's work through humor and prayer. Nick is survived by his loving family, father, Donald Toutges Jr. of Cosmos; mother, Rev. Vicki Toutges of Fairfax; brothers, Nathan (MaryAnne) of Litchfield, Jake (Leah Ellsworth) of Litchfield and Kris (Alicia) Toutges of Litchfield; nephew, Jase Toutges; step-grandma, Virginia Toutges of Litchfield and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Nick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Emma Shipp and Don and Irene Toutges.
