Nancy Elaine Yordi

Nancy E. Yordi, age 54, died at her home on Sunday, November 18, 2012, after a long battle with cancer. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the church of St. Philip with a parish prayer service at 7:00 PM. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 21st at the Church. Interment will be at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Litchfield. Nancy Elaine Yordi, the daughter of John and Elaine (Mesenbrink) Dellwo, was born on October 30, 1958, in Hayward California. She grew up and attended school in Fremont, CA until her father died and her family moved to Prior Lake, MN. She graduated from Prior Lake High School with honors in 1976. She continued her education at the College of St. Benedict. After graduation she moved to Litchfield and taught second grade at St. Philip's Catholic School. On June 13, 1986, she was united in marriage to William Yordi at the Church of St. Philip. Nancy then worked for Innovex, Dura Supreme and Bobcat doing office work. She also worked for a short time at Danner, Brekke and Everts Financial. She was a member of the Church of St. Philip. Her family was very important to her and she will be remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother. She enjoyed riding horses, putting together jigsaw puzzles and attending craft fairs. She is survived by her husband William Yordi of Litchfield, children Amanda (and Bryce) Johanneck of Spicer, Michelle Yordi of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and David Yordi of Beloit, Wisconsin, mother Elaine Bush of Litchfield, sisters, Anne (and Joseph) Gilles and Jacqueline (and John) Robbins both of Brighton, Michigan, step-brother Steven Bush of Trego, WI and step-sister-in-law Bonnie Bush of Bemidji. She was preceded in death by her father John Dellwo, Step-Father Joseph Bush, step-brother Joseph Bush, Jr. and her grandparents.
