Myron 'Doug' Osterberg

Myron D. ""Doug"" Osterberg, age 74 of Hector, MN, died on Thursday, March 24, 2016, at his home in Hector. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Ostmark Lutheran Church in Watkins. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Monday at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at the Ostmark Lutheran Cemetery. Myron Douglas Osterberg, the son of Gerhard ""Jack"" and Selma (Kling) Osterberg, was born in Litchfield on July 14, 1941. He was baptized and confirmed at Ostmark Lutheran Church. Doug graduated from Kimball High School in 1959 and served in the US Army. He was united in marriage to Crystal (Jacobson) Coulter on February 5, 2005. He was a member of the Ostmark Lutheran Church. Doug was a crop and dairy farmer for most of his life. After his retirement, he enjoyed helping his friends farm, and also enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings, mowing lawn, and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Crystal of Hector, MN; children Mark (Dawn) Coulter of Hector, MN, Allison Coulter of Hector, MN and Jacqueline (Vance) Zins of Hudson, WI; grandchildren Ryan, Jaydon, Brietta, Vale, Noah, Matia, Ariana, and Adam; brother Russel (Ruth) Osterberg of Alexandria, MN; sister-in-law Karen Osterberg; and brother-in-law Ordell Ritter.
