Myra M. Stueber

Myra M. Stueber, age 62, of Litchfield died on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at the Meeker Memorial Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 12, 2015 at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, January 11th at the church with a parish prayer service at 8:00 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the services on Monday. Interment will be in the St. Columban Cemetery in Greenleaf Township. Myra Mary Stueber, the daughter of Norbert and Doris (Meier) Hoffmann, was born on August 28, 1952, in Redwood Falls, MN. She was baptized at the St. Michael Catholic Church in Morgan. At the age of three her family moved near Litchfield. She received her education from Cosmos Public Schools and graduated from Cosmos High School in 1970. She continued her education at the Willmar Vocational School, studying drafting. She worked as a drafter at Schafer Refrigeration in Minneapolis and then worked for Bachman Construction as both an office assistant and mechanic. On September 20, 1980, she was united in marriage to Mark Stueber at the St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson. She farmed and trucked with Mark for several years. Her grandfather moved in with them and she took care of him until his death at which time her mother moved in and she began caring for her. For the past 7 years Myra has worked as the Deli Department Manager at Walmart in Litchfield. Myra served as a member of the ACGC School Board and also the FSA Board. She enjoyed gardening, canning and occasionally bowling. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She became ""mom"" to many of her children's friends. She will be remembered for her tremendous kindness and caring way. She is survived by her husband, Mark Stueber of Litchfield; children, Tony (and Heather) Stueber of Litchfield, Stephanie Lundin (and Eric Norlin) of Litchfield; grandchildren, Mackenzie Lundin, Carson Stueber, Kyle Lundin, Aiden Stueber, Gavin Stueber, Nova Norlin, Chevelle Norlin and baby Norlin. She is also survived by her brothers Larry (and Karen) Hoffmann of Litchfield, Jeff Hoffmann of Litchfield; sisters, Judy Read of Carrollton, TX, Linda (and Dennis) Ruzicka of Hutchinson, and Lois Chalupsky of Hutchinson; brother and sister in-laws Dorothy Adams of Hutchinson, Elva (and Carl) Nass of Hutchinson, Gertrude (and Willy) Johnson of Hutchinson, Dave (and Nancy) Stueber of Cosmos, John Stueber of Hutchinson, Jim (and Kathy) Stueber of Cosmos, Marie (and Jerry Sr.) Block of Cosmos, Tom (and Cindy) Stueber of Atwater. She was preceded in death by her parents, three infant children; nephews, Nick Block and Bruce Johnson; brother-in-laws, Ken Read and LeRoy Adams; sister-in-law Donna Stueber and mother-in-law Gretchen.
