Miriam Hennen, born in Watkins on December 18, 1937, passed away at Quiet Oaks on November 1, 2024, at the age of 86. A cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Miriam’s loving spirit and dedication to family will be missed by all. She enjoyed playing cards, visiting the casino, gardening, sewing, and baking. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was an active member of her church community.
Miriam’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family at their cabin and on the farm. She is survived by her husband, Ervin, of 64 years; her children, Nancy (Ron) Yanish, Karen (Tom) Donnay, Fr. David Hennen, Mary Kay (Chris) Deladi, Brian Hennen, and Bob (Robin) Hennen; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Deanna (Chuck) Bauer; and sister-in-laws, Carol and Sue Nistler. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Alex and Clara Nistler; and brothers, Harold and Don Nistler.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Watkins at 11:00AM. Visitation will be on Monday, November 4, 2024 from 4 -7PM at the church and will continue one hour prior to the service. Parish prayers will be at 4:00PM on Monday at the church. Burial will be at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery.
