Milton K. Shoutz

Milton K. Shoutz, age 80, of Litchfield, died at his home on Friday, April, 29, 2011, in Eden Valley, MN. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 2, 2011, at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lake Ripley Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard. Milton Kenneth Shoutz, the son of Leslie and Signe (Knutson) Shoutz was born on May, 4, 1930 in Forest City, MN. He attended the Forest City Country School. Throughout his life Milton lived in Forest City, MN, Iowa, Kingston, French Lake, Litchfield, MN and Eden Valley, MN. He drove truck for various construction companies, for Jennie-O in Litchfield until it closed, for the Kingston and Annandale Creamery and for Toro in Mound, MN until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and bingo, throwing horseshoes, playing scratch off lottery games and gambling. He will be remembered for his good natured joking, teasing and flirting and for the nicknames that he gave to his grandchildren. Milton was proud of his 20 year sobriety coin. Milton served in US Army during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his children, Mike (and Robbie) Shoutz of Atwater, MN, Rick Shoutz of Rosendale, MN, Raymond (and Wanda) Shoutz of Atwater, MN, J.R. Shoutz of Litchfield, MN and Clifford (and Jodi) Shoutz of Chaska, MN; 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother Lloyd (and Sharon) Shoutz of Forest City, MN; sisters, Cheri (and Tex) Knutson of Annandale, MN, Janice Bollin of Manannah, MN, Ann Holmgren of Manannah, MN, Carol (and John) Mahlherek of Litchfield, MN and Peggy of Portland, Oregon; and daughter-in-law Diane of Rosendale, MN.
