Mildred Ann Quist

Mildred A. Quist, age 93, died on January 10, 2016, at her home in Litchfield. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 15, 2016, at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Lake Ripley Cemetery. Mildred Ann Quist, the daughter of Emil and Bertha (Anderson) Erickson, was born on July 2, 1922 in Beckville Township, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at Beckville Lutheran Church. Mildred grew up in the Beckville area and attended District 45 country school. She later graduated from Litchfield High School. She worked various jobs following high school, including working in the office at the Produce, and at the Litchfield Woolen Mills. On January 13, 1944, she was united in marriage to Kenneth L. Quist. Mildred worked as a nurse's aide at the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield for twenty years. Mildred was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening and outdoor activities. She also liked to read and listen to music. She is survived by her children, Russ (Sue) Quist of Willmar, Julie Quist of Crystal, Linda (Bill) Dibb of St. Stephen; grandchildren, Kenneth R. (Shanna) Quist, Eva (Adam) Hanson, Isaac Dibb and Abby Dibb; great grandchildren, Rylynn Quist, Keltyn Quist, Camdyn Quist, Ella Hanson and Andrew Hanson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth L.
