Michelle Marie Ferm

Michelle M. (Konietzko) Ferm, age 50, of Maple Grove died on Sunday, November 30, 2014, at the Ecumen of Litchfield Emmanuel Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 5, 2014 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Maple Grove. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 4th at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield with a Parish Prayer service at 7:45 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday two hours prior to the service at St. Joseph the Worker. Interment will be in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Litchfield on Saturday. Michelle Marie Ferm, the daughter of Don and Ann (Wachter) Konietzko, was born on October 22, 1964 in Winsted, Minnesota. She grew up in Litchfield and graduated from Litchfield High School in 1983. She continued her education at Hutchinson Technical Institute. Following school she moved to the Twin Cities and began working in the insurance business. She most recently was working for The Hartford as a Project Management Specialist. Besides working full time outside the home, Michelle was a full-time mom. She was extremely active in all of her children's activities and volunteered for many school events. Michelle will be remembered as a very caring person who touched the hearts of many people. She was an organized person who liked everything to be perfect for those she loved. She enjoyed photography, cooking, and family get-togethers. She is survived by her children, Jacob Ferm, Megan Ferm, Emily Ferm, and Joshua Ferm all of Maple Grove, parents, Don and Ann Konietzko of Litchfield, sister, Melissa (and Dave) Fermoyle of Brooklyn Park, brother, Michael (and Char) Konietzko of Waconia, nephews, Joseph and Alexander Konietzko, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. The family would like to thank Ecumen Hospice of Litchfield, and the staff of Ecumen Emmanuel for the wonderful care given to Michelle these past months. Memorials preferred to family in lieu of flowers.
