Michael Loch

Michael George Loch, age 74, of Litchfield, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025. He was born at home on the homestead in Forest Prairie Township to the late Jerome and Marian (Bratts) Loch on October 10, 1950.

A memorial service will be held at 7pm on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home. Family will greet friends from 5-7pm on Friday prior to the service at the funeral home. Michael will be laid to rest at Ripley Cemetery at a later date.

Raised in Forest City, Michael graduated from Litchfield High School in 1968 and spent over 46 years working as a custom machine operator. In his free time, Michael liked to drive around to check on friends and family, making sure everyone was safe and well. He loved to spend time in nature with his grandkids, taking them fishing or watching the wildlife in Hutchinson Sanctuary.

Michael is survived by his 3 daughters, Mary (Charles Jr.) Morrison, Angela Loch, and Sara Loch; 10 grandchildren, Sheryl Morrison, Siada (Luis) Loch, Layla Loch, Shawn Sand, Derrick Sand, Dakota Loch, Isabel Morrison, Caitee Morrison, Jordan Loch, and Jayden Sheldon; 2 great grandchildren, Ulises Camas and Thomas Wraspir; and brothers, Dale Loch and Roy Loch.

In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his siblings, Jim Loch, Tom Loch, and Val Krueger.
