Maynard A Yanish

January 1, 1951 — April 19, 2018

Maynard (Mitch) Yanish was born September 7th, 1951 in Forest Prairie Township to John and Myrtle Yanish. He grew up in Watkins MN where he worked a farm with his parents and 6 siblings. When he was 20 years old he moved to St. Paul, Mn to work at Cinch Connectors. At the time of his passing he supervised the production of FQIS ( fuel quantity indicating system) wire harnesses for Boeing Aircraft. During his employment at Cinch he had been relocated two times, Oklahoma in 1994 and Texas in 2013. Working at Cinch was a big part of his life and was very important to him. For 47 years he worked at Cinch and was very well loved and respected by his coworkers, so much so that upon hearing of his passing they shut down production for 2 hours because they couldn’t maintain their composure. His hobbies and interests were gardening, bird watching and Vikings football. He was also a huge fan of the Star Wars movies and collecting Star Wars memorabilia. Mitch had an outgoing personality and loved to make people laugh, always the jokester. He was a tough and courageous warrior, having polio as a child and cancer in his fifty’s, he battled and overcame both diseases. He was loved by all and has touched many people’s lives with compassion and caring, he will truly be missed. Taken from us to early in life, he will never be forgotten and now lives in our hearts forever. Maynard is survived by his son, Christopher Yanish of Buffalo; Chris’s fiancé, DeAnna Hofstadter; Grandsons, Calvin and Caleb Yanis; 6 siblings and their spouses, Eugene and Dianne Yanish of Buffalo; Arlene and Charlie LaClare of Rodgers; Geraldine and Jim Mies of Brained; Georgian and Delroy of Otsego; Audrey Hennen of Aitkin; Julie Ann and Paul Allen of Foley.
