Mary Lou Riker

Mary L. Riker, age 61, of Litchfield died on Thursday, December 3, 2015, at the Ecumen Emmanuel Nursing Home in Litchfield. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Squire Boone Cemetery in Boone, Iowa. Mary Lou Riker was born on January 20, 1954, in Buffalo, MN to Waldon and Margery (Rettig) Koosman. She grew up in Howard Lake and Graduated from the Howard Lake High School in 1972. After graduating she worked at various jobs before going to work at Minnesota Rubber. She moved to Boone, Iowa in 1980 and began working at Iowa State University in kitchen management. On December 11, 1982, she married Larry Riker in Annandale, MN. She continued living in Boone until 1992 when she moved to Pine River, MN. While living in Pine River she worked at the Pine River State Bank from 1998 until she retired in December of 2013. In 2014 she moved to Litchfield. Mary enjoyed traveling and made trips to Las Vegas and the Bahamas. She traveled to Canada to go fishing; another one of her enjoyments. Mary was on a bowling league in several of the communities where she lived and loved to attend auctions. She is survived by her daughters, Heather Riker of Waterloo, IA, Theresa (Travis) Angle of Boone, IA; grandchildren, Jordan and Jayden Angle; mother, Margery Koosman of Litchfield; mother-in-law Lois Riker of Boone, IA., brothers Steve (Kim) Koosman of Howard Lake, Wayne (Connie) Koosman of Howard Lake, Kevin (Barb) Koosman of Litchfield, Keith Koosman of Howard Lake; sister, Jan (Doug) Frykholm of Howard Lake and many nieces and nephews.
