Marvin Leroy Lachelt

Marvin L. Lachelt, age 73, of Litchfield, died on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Ecumen Emmanual Home in Litchfield. Visitation will be held Saturday, June 6th from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home. Marvin LeRoy Lachelt was born on July 23, 1941, in Boyd, Minnesota to John and Elsie (Neitzel) Lachelt. He grew up and received his education in Boyd. Marvin lived in Texas for many years, moving back to Minnesota in 1991. He was united in marriage to Allene Parks in 1989 in Texas. Marvin was an over the road truck driver for 49 years. After moving back to Minnesota he worked for Litchfield Trucking for 24 years. He loved to fish, hunt, and watch racing, especially Nascar. Marvin is survived by his wife Allie of Litchfield, children; Debbie and Ricky Maurer of Litchfield, Shelly and Bill Shelby of Clinton Township, Michigan, and Sandra and James Baker of Maxia, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Larry Maurer, Kristina Lobner, Branden Shelby, Andrea Baker-McAnally, Cody Baker, Destinie Shelby, and Cody Shelby, great grandchildren; Clayton, Kaleb, Ethan, Lucas, Jacob, Justin, and Braxton, brother; Harold Lachelt of Brainerd, sister; Janice and Carroll Pagel of Benson.
