Martha E. Lee, age 86, of Brooklyn Center, previously of Litchfield, died on Sunday, April 27, 2014, at the North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 30th at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home with a parish prayer service at 5:00 PM. Interment will be in the Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Eden Valley. Martha Elizabeth Lee, the daughter of Claus and Katherine (Nohner) DeMorrett, was born on November 7, 1927, in Watkins. She grew up in Eden Valley and graduated from the Eden Valley High School in 1945. She was married to Dale Lee in Eden Valley on June 7, 1947. They moved to Litchfield and she worked at Dale's Recreation for about ten years. She started working as an industrial sewer at Butwin Industries in 1972, where she worked until retiring in 1992. Martha lived in Bethany Assisted Living for a few years before moving to Prairie Lodge with Memory Care in Brooklyn Center. She was a member of the Church of St. Philip and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed the Litchfield Watercade events and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Barbara (and Loren) Koenig of Tacoma, WA, Eugene (and Suzanne) Lee of Eagan, Jacqueline Dalberg of Shoreview, Thomas (and Jill) Lee of Delano, Ila (and Tim) Macik of Lake Lillian, Mark Lee (and fiancée Cheryl Braun) of St. Paul, Keith Lee of St. Louis Park, MN and Neil (and Elizabeth) Lee of Highland Park, MN; grandchildren, Terri Lynn Johnson, Michael Koenig, Nettie Hackenmueller, Bradley Dalberg, Erin Muckerheide, Chantelle Kraemer, Kristopher Lee, Mitchelle Lee, McKale Lee, Adam Lee; great grandchildren, Andrew Koenig, Cheyenne Johnson, Adelyn Muckerheide, Kenzie Hackenmueller, Teagan Dalberg, Elise Muckerheide, Lydia Muckerheide, and brother Lawrence Louis DeMorrett of St. Cloud, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents; grandson Brian Lee; brothers Aloys DeMorrett, Carl DeMorrett, Erwin DeMorrett; and sister Alma Nelson.
